GEWS committed to evolve the
society by promoting education including Hi-tech state of art
technology through enormous efforts. Society is registered under
Societies Registration Act (1860) Vide No. DIC/DRA/1218 of 2002 on
5 Sept.and situated at Kaula Park, Sangrur (Punjab)
The society is fully engaged to provide academic and technical
education awareness to the technology, counseling for personality
development and career building.
Society has authorized a computer training center in Sangrur Distt Under
the name and style "Gateway Solutions" . This center is
conducting various hardware, software, career guidance and placement
programs for the weaker sections of the society. From the date of
existence nearly 600 students (Boys & Girls) has been trained with
the latest technology in this center. A part from this society has
organized many camps, seminars and career guidance programs. Society
has Conducted various Placement guidance and self employment
programs with Distt. Employment office, BDPO office and Govt.
Colleges to make students aware of the self employment
opportunities.
Society is engaged in providing services in the field of Computer &
University education for a number of years. We have organized skill
development programs on behalf of NABARD and govt. other agencies.
We have recently been allowed to sponsor 50 SHGs by NABARD. We feel
that there is an urgent need to provide information about financial
services to poor and illiterate
persons in rural areas.

Gateway Educational And Welfare Society (Regd.) is
a Charitable, Social, Non Government Organization, Formed by a group
of like minded, IT professionals and academicians from various
segments of society, Who understand the value of I.T and importance
of Technology in Today’s life.
Mission of the society is to provide I.T education and Career
Guidance to poor and under privileged students irrespective of
caste, religion & sex. The society involve the people of the region
in the process of development of Education especially in information
Technology.
The Society is formed with an objective to provide effective
assistance to rural, weaker unemployed youths as well as to rural
and poor women, by developing their skills in information
Technology, making them aware about latest career opportunities and
motivation them in getting their right place in the society.
Society has evolved various innovative ways to initiate and to
promote voluntary action in rural and slum areas. Our programs
include vocational education camp for rural women. Computer
education camp for poor students, skill development workshops for
unemployed youths. Seminars and debates on career possibilities in
private sector and self-employment.
Society also motivates the beneficiaries for voluntary services in
society’s mission this solves the man power problem required for
this noble cause and add experience in student’s profile. |
